Advanced, reliable technology

You can count on FutureDrive®. It’s designed and built by Rhinestahl Corporation, manufacturers of turbine engine tooling and components for engine overhaul and maintenance support since 1967.

Control unit.

The hand control features engine, blade and stage selection, as well as turning speed, positioning, jog and directional controls. A simple multiplexing one-hand design provides backlit LCD displays for maximum visibility in varied lighting conditions.

Drive unit.

The heavy-duty, gear-reduced drive motor, which attaches (with adapters) to your engine’s accessory gearbox, provides encoder feedback for full motion control range with digital accuracy. A high-torque gearbox enhances reliability, while the variable acceleration design minimizes backlash and increases durability.

Power electronics.

An advanced microprocessor based system ensures reliable Drive Unit operation. EPROMs can be easily updated in the field to incorporate new engine models and enhanced designs.

Compact and portable.

Weighing in at less than 50 pounds, FutureDrive® is a rugged, self-contained unit with its own handle and wheels.

’You can run the FutureDrive® as fast or slow as you want; it keeps things constant and steady. You can videotape the engine from front-to-back fairly quickly and then go back to review the tape later. It’s increased the consistency of inspections.’
