RHINESTAHL, BOEING AGREEMENT OFFERS TURNKEY SOLUTIONS

Las Vegas (May 17, 2004)

Rhinestahl Corporation, a manufacturer of turbine engine tools and components, today announced a new license agreement with The Boeing Company’s Commercial Aircraft Division, headquartered in Seattle. The announcement comes on the heels of Rhinestahl’s launch of FutureBlend™, a revolutionary on-wing blade blending technology that lets technicians repair damaged engine blades without dismantling jet engines.

Boeing and Rhinestahl recently formalized the licensing agreement that allows Rhinestahl to provide Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Maintenance Tooling for all Boeing commercial aircraft. The agreement includes all mechanical tooling and engine handling equipment used to service, overhaul, repair and inspect aircraft and aircraft component assemblies and parts while the aircraft is on the ground. The agreement permits Rhinestahl to manufacture, sell, lease and support Boeing-licensed GSE materials and products worldwide. All Boeing commercial aircraft—including the entire 700 fleet series, DC and MD fleet model—are part of the agreement.

“We’re excited to be one of only a small group of organizations globally to be licensed by Boeing to provide ground support equipment and maintenance tooling solutions to the commercial aviation market,” said Tom Johnston, Rhinestahl’s director of engineering and sales . “Our one-stop-shopping solution promises to eliminate the headaches that most maintenance managers face when searching among various suppliers to fulfill their ground support equipment needs.”“Part of Boeing’s phenomenal success and longevity can be traced to the aviation and aerospace giant’s ability to partner with organizations capable of offering industry-wide solutions,” said Dieter Moeller, general manager Rhinestahl Corporation. “We are pleased to become part of the nearly century-old organization’s track record.”

Rhinestahl will begin selling Boeing Ground Support Equipment immediately. The company offers a wide range of tooling and engineering products and services to the aviation and aerospace industry, including FutureDrive®—a fully programmable electronic turning tool that, when introduced to the industry, transformed the way jet engine inspections are completed. Rhinestahl, General Electric’s 2003 Supplier Excellence Award winner, is ISO 9001:2000 Registered and AS 9000 Compliant.
